Membership

How do I become a member?

Becoming a member is changing your religion to Spiritualist.

First and foremost you should be a regular attendee at one or more of our services.  It is not possible to become a member unless you are known to the other members.

You should fill in the attached membership form and hand it to any committee member together with the appropriate fee.

That form will then be presented to the Church committee at their next meeting.

If you are known to the committee they will then consider the invitation into Associate membership of the Church (it is not a right). You will be advised of this decision by letter.

The Associate period lasts for a minimum of six months during which we all develop a better understanding of each other.

After the six months your name will automatically come before the committee and assuming there are no issues then you should be invited to full membership and given a membership card for the year.

Membership is renewable every January by the paying of the annual subs.  If the subs are not paid a written reminder is sent and should we not receive by return your subscription membership will automatically lapse on the 1st June the same year.

Normally reminders are given out in the Church notices at most services as we all tend to forget such things.

It is possible to rejoin the Church as a full member within three years of original membership lapsing.

If more than three years have lapsed then you will have to become an Associate member again.

Current Membership of another SNU Church means you may be able to enter our church as a full member straight away.
